First Word

I had to go to Tampa (for two nights) for work. I landed and rushed to daycare to get T. When I walked in he was so excited to see me. He hugged and patted me and said "momma" followed by ma ma ma ma ma. The sweet lady at daycare agreed it was momma, I thought she might cry herself. So sweet. Granted we had been coaching him, but I was still thrilled. He seems to say it when he is fussing, like calling for me momma momma momma. Obviously it gets my attention very quickly. It was so awesome, I could say more, but you get it.

For the love of bottles

Tyler loves his bottle. When we heat one up in the warmer we have to hide it from him - he won't take it cold and he doesn't seem to understand it will be ready in 3 minutes.

At daycare there is another kid that has the same kind of bottles as Tyler. His teacher said Tyler gets upset when he sees this bottle and it goes to the other kid, even if he just had one. Its amazing he can tell the difference!

Here is Tyler chilling having a bottle. I walked over and saw him laying there with his feet propped up and ankles crossed and thought it was pretty funny.

Six Month Appointment

Tyler had his six month appointment today. He is in the 75th percentile for weight and the 90-95th percentile for height. I guess he is starting to get more long than plump. He got three shots and was pretty mad but only for about 30 seconds. I think I have had bigger fits getting shots, he is such a laid back little guy.

Dr. Travis said he looked great, a big healthy boy. He is hitting all his milestones and doing great. Their only suggestion was that we work on getting him to sleep through the night without eating - easier said then done! When Tyler is hungry he is not easily convinced that he is not.

So glad he is doing well :)

Piper and Tyler

We had lunch with Grandma, Grandpa Lenord, Tori, Christian and Piper. Piper and Tyler are six months apart and his cousin clossest to his age. We couldnt manage to get Piper, Tyler and Lenord to all smile, but this picture is cute anyhow.

First Tooth

He's been cutting it for a while and it finally made its arrival. We have the first tooth! I dreaded the whole cutting teeth process, seems so painful. It wasnt easy to get the first one here, but its here! Many more to come. Seems sad you have to do this twice.

Six Months

Tyler is six months old. It seems like he was born yesterday.

He can roll over but doesn't do that much. He really likes sitting up and wants to all the time but he can't 'hold it' so we spend lots of time sitting and with Will or I waiting for him to spill over. He grabs his feet constantly and puts everything in his mouth.

When either Will or I walk into to daycare to pick him up he recognizes our voices before he sees us and is so happy. He does well at daycare, but its nice for him to be excited to see mom or dad.

He is a good eater and is doing well with baby food. He is almost 20 pounds so nice and healthy but he is getting heavy to carry! We are getting very big arm muscles.

Sleep has been hit or miss. He is sleeping in his crib, but often ends up in the swing before the end of the night. He is about to hit the weight limit on the swing so that might be a bad transition. Since he is eating more solids I am hoping he will sleep better. He was a fantastic sleeper before he got sick but since he figured out we will feed him in the middle of the night he seems to demand that.

We are enjoying the warmer weather going for walks and trying to get out and about as much as we can on the weekends.
