9 Month Appointment

Will took Tyler to his 9 month appointment(I was in Portland). He is in the 95th percentile for his head and heighth and 75th for his weight. I guess all that moving is slimming him down. He impressed the doctor with how well he could stand, but no surprise to us he insists on standing all the time.

He can pick up food with both his right and left hand and he uses both often, makes you wonder which 'handed' he will be. He is hitting all his milestones and doing great aside from normal child and daycare sickness - which are absolutely no fun.

Beating the Heat

Tyler is yet to go in a 'real' pool, but he has fun in his kiddy pool. My mom has a pool but we haven't used it yet - 4th of July weekend we will. We have a community pool but that is way too germy for my liking. He has fun in the pool it has a little sprinkler that sprays and its funny to watch him try and figure it out. It sprays his face and he is surprised mad and curious.

Swing!!!!

We went to my family reunion in Goldthwaite and visited a park. This was Tyler's first time in a swing and he LOVED it! He had so much fun. He actually kicked his legs back and forth like a big kid would to get the swing moving faster. Unfortunately he came down with a case of hand foot and mouth that I attribute to me letting down my germ guard (against Will's wishes)and putting him in the swing. He was out of daycare for a week so back to germ - a - phobia. At least he enjoyed the swing. We don't have big enough trees for one so I bought one for my mom's so hopefully he will like it as much.

8 Months

At eight months Tyler has accomplished A LOT! He can clap, although not on demand, I guess as the music moves him. He loves to stand and learned to pull himself up.


He has been army crawling from about six months and after learning to pull himself up I caught this video of his first real crawl.

He is all man, he was going for the remote, I figured that would get him moving :)

He is a charmer, he likes for people to smile at him and loves crowds. He will make noise in a resturant until he gets people to turn and look at him and then he gives them a huge smile.

He's getting so big!
