Grand and Great Grand Mommas

We saw all the grandmas on the Saturday before Mother's Day. We had lunch with Nanny and Grandma. Tyler did so great, we were there for two hours and he behaved so well. It helped to have extra loving hands to hold Tyler.

After lunch we headed over to G Donny and Mary's wedding. Tyler got to spend lots of time with Great Gran. Tyler was pretty intent on getting Great Grans corsage. When it came time to feed Tyler Great Gran did not hesitate to step in and feed Big T. She did such a good job - his bib was barely dirty when she was done. I should have spent a little more time observing her technique.

Tyler is very lucky to have such wonderful grandmothers and a great gran as Will and I are to have great moms and grandma to celebrate with.

Six Month Pictures Are In!

These are Tyler's six month pictures. The same photographer (Carissa Hoopes) that did his newborn ones. She did a fantastic job! Tyler had an ear infection, Will was sick and I had been traveling for the past three days leading up to these. Will and I did not expect much out of his 'photo shoot', but we were thrilled with the outcome.

He participated for about 45 minutes and was done. We had several wardrobe changes and fought the constant battle of getting his hands out of his mouth (Tyler owns the tastiest hands in the land).

We took him there in the superman onsie with no intentions of having that as one of the outfits, but the photographer said, no I think these will be great and they are some of my favorites.

The Second Tooth has Arrived

Tyler got his second tooth. Two down - Eighteen more to go... (according to the very reliable source of tfairy.com) He is a drooling machine and everything goes into the mouth. I hope the next ones come in a little easier, teething is no fun. What's worse is he has to lose all these and go through it again!

No picture for this post, just seems weird to take a picture plus I am pretty sure I would not be able to get him to cooperate.

Trip to the Beach!

We had planned to take Tyler to San Diego, to the Hotel Del Coronado. Well work was hectic for both of us and Tyler has had an ongoing ear infection so we decided to go to Port Aranasas.

You would have thought we were moving out of the house with the amount of stuff we took. We could have used a U-Haul. Luckily Will suggested a place that had luggage carts so we got everything to the room fairly easily, but we looked like we were leaving Austin forever. One suitcase for Will and I and a whole truck load of stuff for T.

The beach was covered in seaweed and there was some pretty decent wind so he was less then impressed with it. He was very curious with all that was going on with the waves coming in and us jumping over seaweed and all. We also dipped his toes in the pool and he was not happy with that.

We had a great time overall and I am glad we will go back in July. It was the first family trip and outside of one major meltdown it all went well. Hopefully the beach, weather and all things outside of our control will work well for us next time.
