Parade and the return of Scout
We went to the Children Giving to Children Parade today with Nanny. We had fun Tyler gave a gift for the kiddos that might not get give gifts (we actually had three toys). Tyler said this one is to share so he's getting it.
We read the Elf on the Shelf book in the car and when we got home we looked high and low and found Scout on the mantel. Tyler had fun looking for Scout.
Now lets see what Scout is up to this year!

Thanksgiving Performance 2013
Well this year went much better than last. Tyler wore his hat, walked out with the group kept his hands to his self and participated. I was so proud!!!
Castle and a Pirate Ship
Keep Austin Weird so the saying goes.
We live a block from a castle... Well someone that turned their normal house into a castle - since the boys were a knight and a dragon we went and took their pictures in front of it. We kind of got kicked off their lawn but Will knowing I had my heart set on it told the owner it was a must do based on their costumes (which I really appreciated because normally something like that would embarrass him terribly).
One day in October on an alternate route home from Tyler's school we came across a boat being built. At first I thought maybe this guy thought he was Noah and was building an ark but instead he does an exuberant Halloween build out and this years was a pirate ship. I was super impressed with the final product. We drove home that way every day and then one day it was gone. No more pirate ship.
Anyhow. I wonder if Tyler will grow up and think did I really live by a castle and drive by a pirate ship on the way home from school? Yes, Tyler you did the castle and pirate ship really existed.

Pumpkin Patch
Love that TAF is still easy to get a smile and a picture. Tyler takes a lot of work to get that these days.

In his business
Travis is pulling up on everything he can and is all in Tyler's business. No need for infant toys in our house these days. Better get used to it Tyler.

Bath Time!
Tyler is generally a shower guy these days but decided to have a bath with little T. Funny enough there was some lessons in what we can and can't do... Tyler kept telling Travis not to put the toys I his mouth 'it's not food baby bro' - since Tyler's big biting incident at 18 months we say that a lot.. And then telling Travis he can't stand up in the bath because well he's 8 months and shouldn't be standing (if at all) in the bath.
Happy Birthday Tyler
Today Tyler is 3! He woke up and said 'its my birthday, Tyler's birthday' and the first few times we asked him how old he was he said 4 but finally accepted three.
I can't believe he's 3!
He took cupcakes to school and we went home after school and opened presents and then met the Wiesners at Dave and Busters. He got two trucks from mom and dad and a Geo from TAF.

Port A Summer 2013
!
We made it to the beach the first morning and Tyler loved it! He was surprisingly fearless in the ocean which made me nervous.
Getting ready for the beach - what a production! Swimsuits, sunscreen and an unreasonable amount of gear but worth it for the fun!
We made a trip into town for shopping and candy and a picture in the shark with Nanny.
We went to the aquarium and the turtles were very accomodimg for pictures!
Will went on the hurricane simulator and wasn't overly impressed but think he just needed to try it. On our way back from Corpus I told Tyler I want you to close your eyes and rest and he said 'I want ocean'. I guess we all want what we want!
We stayed the first several days at Executive Keys where Will stayed growing up and then moved to Port Royal which was a first for us and we really enjoyed.
Sporting his farmers tan! First summer to get a tan.
I walked through the pool area with the boys by myself and Tyler starts taking off his shoes and saying pool and I flash back to all the times I jumped in the pool after being told not to by my mom and grandpa - luckily it wasn't time for pay backs but I sure it's coming.
Kennedy and Tyler on the cart.
