Tyler's full name is Tyler William Ferguson. We knew if Tyler was a boy his middle name would be William, Will told me that if he ever had a son that would be the middle name before we got married.
There are two parts to the William aspect.
Will's dad was Richard Garland, and Will is William Richard - basically fathers first name becomes your middle. Love the tradition - secretly hope Tyler keeps it up :)
William however is very much a family name. How do I explain this without making it overly complicated and using Will, William etc over and over. Forewarning this may require some concentration... Will's grandpa (Poppa) was a William Dixon Jr, his son (Uncle Billy) was a III, and both Will and his cousin share the name. Needless to say there are lots of Williams. It traces back on Will's grandfathers side of the family and his Grandma (Granny - same birthday as Tyler)for generations before that. Man, is that confusing to explain!
At Easter we were able to get a picture of all the Williams in Will's family. From left to right we have Billy or as referenced above III, holding William Anderson (newest William that belongs to the William on the far right), then Will and Tyler William and then William Lee (aka Lee).
